Philosophy

CAMPBELL Registered Architects Ltd

Our personal approach to designing your project is to exceed your expectations and aspirations.

Each of our projects is unique without being restricted to a particular style, and is the result of the interactions between the Client, site and brief. We use inspiration to visualize opportunities and then provide practical solutions we can communicate to Clients, Contractors and others involved in the project. Every architectural project follows a series of clear stages.

Project Brief

This is the first stage of sharing information and describing the vision you, the Client, have for your project.

The Project Brief should clearly articulate your needs and your vision, but it can take a variety of forms, written or visual, and prescriptive or conceptual depending on your personal style of communication.

At this stage your budget will be discussed and your priorities will be set in terms of cost, time and quality.

Concept Design

CAMPBELL Registered Architects Ltd

At this point, we consider all the options and will present you with solutions, through a series of drawings and perspective sketches.

We recommend obtaining a budget estimate from a Quantity Surveyor, or your builder at this stage, and can then review the project scope, timeframes or budget if required.

Developed Design

When you have agreed on a concept we begin to model the project on the computer providing a 3D walkthough and will refine the details to shape the final design of your building.

Planning Approval may be necessary before the final, detailed or working drawings can be finalised.

Documentation

CAMPBELL Registered Architects Ltd

This includes preparation of working drawings, Specification and regulatory documentation to obtain Building Consent and allow a Contractor to Tender.

We will also co-ordinate and integrate the contribution of other building professionals (Planner, Surveyor, Structural Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Landscaping consultants, Interior designer etc) into the building process.

Contract Administration

Includes procurement, tendering and selection of the appropriate Contractor and type of Contract for the project.

Throughout the construction of the building, we manage the contractual and financial transactions as well as observe the construction phase of the project to ensure that best building practice is maintained and that your building is one of quality.
